The iconic Corolla is returning to the UK for 2019, with 12th generation Hatchback and Touring models boasting Toyota's famous self-charging hybrid technology. Manufactured at the marque's Burnaston factory in Derbyshire, the first Corolla models are built on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) GA-C platform.
The all-new Corolla is the very first European Toyota model to give customers the opportunity of choosing between two hybrid powertrains of a 1.8-litre system or a 178bhp 2.0-litre variant. Both versions offer an all-electric drive capability for zero emissions and great fuel economy, and smooth CVT automatic transmission is standard.
There is also a superb 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with six-speed manual transmission.
