Skoda Scala hatchback
The Scala is Skoda’s first new model release since 2017. Placed between the Fabia and Skoda, the Scala replaces the Rapid, rivalling the VW Golf, Ford Focus, Vauxhall Astra and SEAT Leon.
It is keenly priced, which also makes it a generously equipped alternative buyers who may otherwise be considering the Hyundai i30, Kia Ceed and Toyota Corolla, or smaller cars like the VW Polo and SEAT Ibiza.
Trims include the SE, which boasts a plethora of standard specification including DAB radio, Bluetooth, alloy wheels, LED headlights, cruise control, rear parking sensors, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The SE L has bigger wheels, rear LED lights, tinted rear windows and a 9.2-inch Amundsen infotainment screen. An entry level S model is expected to join the range soon. Currently, three petrol engines are available and one diesel unit. All are economical and punchy, with low CO2 emissions.
